Getting ready for Vlogmas 2022 + Vlogmas Ideas!
Vlogmas 2022!
It's November which means it is time to start getting ready for Vlogmas 2022!
Getting back into vlogging and YouTube has been a struggle for me lately, and what better time to try and get back into it than Vlogmas!
I started by going on Canva and finding a cute aesthetically pleasing calendar to get me in an excited mood, and I filled it all out!

Now, this all took me multiple days to finish, and I definitely got some inspiration from other YouTubers.
Getting these videos ready, recorded, and edited will take multiple days for each one so starting Dec 1 is not an option for me. Some of these videos will have to be filmed in advance to give me enough time to get them all! With this new job of mine, my schedule isn't as flexible as it used to be. But that is by no means stopping me from getting back into the swing of things!
Now, diving deeper into the videos that I chose. I wanted to share my ideas for vlogmas this year to help others who might be struggling with video ideas like I was.
So, here are some Vlogmas video ideas!
1) Decorating the House
What better way to kick off the holiday season than by getting your house all decorated for the holidays! No matter what holiday you celebrate, you can show off how you "deck the halls" during the month of December.
2) Making Cookies! (Mine are Gluten Free)
One of the best parts of Christmastime for me is eating warm fresh baked cookies out of the oven. One thing that is new this year for us is the fact that they have to be Gluten Free cookies. Recently my youngest sister Taylor was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and can't have gluten at all, and after deliberating with myself I soon realized that some gluten items made me hurt too. So, after process of elimination we discovered that I have a gluten sensitivity.
3) Winter Morning Routine
Sometimes your morning routine looks the same all year round, or it might change depending on what season we are in. Since I now work in education my winter schedule tends to look different than my fall or spring schedule. So here is where you can show your winter morning routine!
4) Sunday Reset
What better way to kick off the week than a Sunday Reset? Starting Monday off with fresh dishes, fresh sheets, a clean house and little to no laundry left! This is a day to show how you reset your home for the upcoming week!
5) Day in the Life
Day in the life vlogs are so interesting to me. I love seeing how other people are out living their lives outside of my small hometown since my routine is so natural to me. Take us around your daily routine and show us how a typical day for you is!
6) Gingerbread House Decorating
I am so excited to make this video since Jarrett is home for Christmas this year, and for GOOD. This is also our first Christmas engaged so it is going to be so much fun doing classic Christmas things with him this year. Decorate your gingerbread house with someone you love! OR make it a challenge and each of you design one, or even do it by yourself! HOWEVER you want to do it!
7)Trying festive snacks
Whether they are the newest flavor of cookies, a recipe you found online, or even a treat from another country, this is a fun video where you get to try out different festive treats for the year. YUM.
8)Sending Christmas Cards
I am so excited to be able to send out our first family Christmas card together this year! For your video you can show your photoshoot or how you make them and even sending them out.
9) Making Hot Chocolate and Q&A
This video for us is to not only reintroduce ourselves and to answer your questions it's a fun time for us to make some hot chocolate and spend some time together.
10) Living like my Winter Pinterest board
I am so excited to see how this video turns out. I am creating my Pinterest board to make the most aesthetically pleasing day for myself, and I cannot wait. So, this video is pretty self-explanatory, make your Pinterest board and live it out!!
11) Trying Holiday Drinks
For this video you could go to Starbucks, Dunkin, or anywhere that sells holiday drinks, or you could make them yourself! I think I will do a mixture, but overall super excited to try some of these new drinks!!
12) Christmas cookie battle
I am so excited for this one because I get to involve my friends and family and my viewers will get to vote on their favorite! For this video you could make your own cookies, or you could do store bought as well, up to you!
13) Romanticizing my life
This one is a goal of mine I have been trying to achieve for a long time. My depression has gotten in my way more times than I can count so sometimes romanticizing my life can be hard. For this one it is about living your best life and living it to the fullest.
14) Top 10 Christmas Movies
This one is self-explanatory, what are your 10 favorite Christmas movies? Your top 10 will most likely be different from my 10, but that's what is fun about it!
15) Christmas Tag
You've heard of the boyfriend tag and the get to know me tag, this tag is all about Christmas! Asking about memories, favorites and stories this tag will bring in the holiday spirt for sure!
16) Go Shopping with me
Whether you are going shopping for presents or for decorations, I always think it is so much fun to show what you find at the store!
17) Christmas movie night
Jarrett and I have regular movie nights with yummy food and good snacks, so making it Christmas edition will be some much fun. I am excited to make a good movie meal and snacks to go with! Play your favorite Christmas movie and whether it's homemade or takeout, grab yourself something yummy to eat!
18) Wrap presents with me
I typically struggle with wrapping presents, so why not watch me struggle? haha. I wish I had super pretty wrapping paper with all the decorations like you see in movies, but I usually don't. For this you can show off your skills OR your struggle.
19) Our first Christmas engaged!!
This one is so personal to us since we did long distance for a year and a half. We finally get the rest of our holidays together and this is our last Christmas not married! For this video we are going to sit down and talk about our long-distance holidays and what we look forward to now.
20)Christmas Break Vlog
Whether you work in education like I do, or if you are a student, this is a vlog to show how you spend your winter break! This is the first day of winter break for me so mine will show how I spend my day at home!
21) Self Care Day
Self-care is so important to everyone. It is important to take care of your mental and physical health. Take this day to focus on you and your needs! I know I'll be taking a hot bath and plenty of skincare!
22) New Business
I have been wanting to try out a new business out to make some extra cash. This is going to be a video "hopefully" introducing my new business and me getting it started. Fingers Crossed. If you have been thinking about one, I highly suggest you go for it!!
23) Going through the Christmas lights
Our town always puts on great lights show in our local park and it is something that I always look forward to! I hope we get to go to a few local parks as well as our own. You can show off your towns local display!
24) Christmas Eve!
In this vlog it will show all the Christmas Day preparation, and all of our Christmas Eve festivities! You can show your Christmas Eve traditions and how you spend your Christmas Eve!
25) Christmas Special
This vlog is so special. You can show how your family spends Christmas together! We spend Christmas at my parents' house, and I am so excited to share our traditions!
26) 2022 reflections
In this video, you can talk about how wonderful or awful 2022 was for you. My 2022 was pretty amazing and had some great highlights to my year. You can touch on all the big things that happened or go month by month!
27) New Year Declutter
What better way to jump into the new year than a declutter? Get rid of all the stuff that you don't need! Start fresh and get rid of all the clutter that you haven't touched in months!
28) December Favorites
This video is a recap of all of the products and things you loved in the month of December! I will show off categories of food, music, beauty, home goods, etc.!
29) What I got for Christmas
This video is self-explanatory and exciting! In this video you get to show everyone what you got for Christmas! It's like a mini unboxing or haul video too!
30) New Year's Resolutions
Every year, whether successful or not, I set new year's resolutions. Tell us what your new year's resolutions are and how you plan to execute them. I'm hoping that 2023 is my year for resolutions!
31) 2023 Vision Board
In 2022 I made my first vision board for the new year. I have kept it as my computer background all year long as a motivator for my goals of 2022. I plan to do the same this year. Show us your vision board and what your goals are for the new year!
