I washed 5 pairs of shoes in the Washing Machine?

 

I decided to wash 5 pairs of my shoes - IN THE WASHING MACHINE

Last week I decided that 5 pairs of my shoes DESPERATELY needed washed. They were either dirty from constant wear, being outside, or just dingy, and needed a wash BADLY!! So I decided to experiment on them because why not. 

I used the Tide+ Ultra Oxi With Odor Eliminator Power Pods for this adventure, as well as my daily laundry expeditions. I threw in just one Tide Pod for 5 Pairs of shoes. 

These were the 5 pairs of shoes that volunteered as tribute for my washing trial. I threw them in for a normal cycle, which is about an hour and 25 minutes on my machine. I left the laces and everything on them and just threw them all in. 

After what felt like an extremely long work day and waiting to get back to check on them, they MADE IT!! I threw in a pair or sandals that had been in the lake and hiking and they came out looking new! A pair of cheetah slip ons that were dingy from everyday wear came out with no smell and the dirt cleared from them! The pair of brown slides from Old Navy came out VERY damp, but they came out looking brand new as well! The only pair that came out rough was my red/orange pair of Ugg flats; they came out a little faded and banged up, which i had expected. 

Finally, my favorite pair of slip on shoes came out BEAUTIFULLY!! They came out bright and shiny and I loved the final result with these rainbow ones! 

So, overall my trial was successful! I was very happy with how each pair of shoes came out and they can see another day!
